Europe Opens Its Boarders to Travelers

This Wednesday, July 27, 2021 England announced that it would reopen its borders to fully vaccinated travelers from the United States and Europe.

Travelers must provide proof of inoculation with a vaccine authorized by the United States or European agencies. The move would apply to all travelers from the European Union and associated countries in the European Free Trade Association, except those from France, who must continue to quarantine even if fully vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated travelers from the United States and Europe will be able to enter England without needing to quarantine.

The move will take effect from Monday and brings England in line with the EU on its US policy.

England’s shift in policy means that people inoculated in the US or in Europe will be able to skip quarantine by showing proof of vaccination on arrival, if they are arriving from countries on the UK’s “amber list.” Those travelers can also skip a test on the eighth day of their stay in the UK. Those exceptions had previously only applied to vaccinated Brits returning from amber countries.
